Colin has featured recently in the Birmingham Mail, which reported on his exhibition at Lichfield Cathedral, and in Birmingham Thirteen.

George Macleod wrote this in the April 2007 issue of Birmingham Thriteen, illustrating how Colin can work with the visible, tangible memories of a whole community:

Another nostalgic and powerful theme is found in his “Hasting Boats” exhibition. This arose after several visits back to his childhood haunts where he sketched and photographed the local fishing boats and observed the slow decline of the local fishing industry. The works include strong and almost painful images of a wrecked and burnt boat disintegrating and decaying in the rushes – charcoal salvaged from the actual boat being used to create the image.
